Events at the Marlipins

Friends of Marlipins Museum can enjoy events throughout the year. As well as being social occasions, the events are an opportunity to catch up on the latest news and future plans.

Friday, November 27 - Open 4pm to 9pm for the town's late night Christmas shopping evening. Father Christmas will be aboard a pirate ship grotto, and there will be a variety of stalls with great Christmas presents, plus raffle, tombola and hot cider punch and mince pies.

Saturday, November 28 - 10am to 4pm, Victorian-themed Christmas fayre. Father Christmas in attendance throughout, plus a variety of craft stalls, offering such items as jewellery, hand-crafted woodwork, ceramics, woollen designs, accessories including silk scarves and hats, bling, handbags, plus cards and books.

Home-made cakes and preserves will also be on offer, plus tombola and raffle, and the museum's famous hot cider punch and mince pies.

Entry is free for both sessions. These are important fund-raising events towards repairing the roof of this important 12th Century building.
